Friday Five: Top 5 Walt Disney World Rides

Welcome back to the Friday Five! This week on the blog, I get to rank my top 5 Walt Disney World Rides. Now, it's well known that I love WDW and love ranking things so I'm beyond excited to rank some of my favorite stuff to do at the parks. From dark rides to water rides, game rides to thrills, Disney World has it all; and it's all top of the line! WDW is full of great rides and its time to pick my 5 favorite! Now, I won't be doing any honorable mentions because if I did any, I'd probably list 10 of them!

So here we go!

Number 5: Haunted Mansion

A ride so great it inspired a movie. Well, that could be said about numbers 4 and 5, but I put Haunted Mansion at number 5 because it's really such a great ride. With classics like Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain it's odd that my 2 Magic Kingdom rides are dark rides; but that shows that maybe a Disney ride can be great, and not be totally thrilling. There's so much to love about Haunted Mansion, from the queue to the Stretching Room to the amazing Audio Animatronics, it's not a complete trip to Disney World until I've ridden Haunted Mansion, which is why it comes in at number 5.

Number 4: Pirates of the Caribbean

My number 4 attraction is in the top 5 for basically all the same reasons as Haunted Mansion, except I have Pirates at four because of the smells. That musty water smell is strangely addicting and there's few smells in the world like the smell of fire in Pirates of the Caribbean. As for the ride itself, I love the storyline of it and following Captain Jack, and the Audio Animatronics here just seem a little bit more real, that could be my thoughts due to Johnny Depp appearing on the Disneyland version of this ride!

Number 3: Toy Story Midway Mania

One of the few remaining rides at Hollywood Studios, Midway Mania is a true blast! I love anything Toy Story and being able to play games with all the toys is so much fun! The game itself is a ton of fun, whether you're on the winning or losing side! It's always fun to see if you can beat the person next to you and then see how your score compares with the scores of the day. Either way, there's not a ton of rides at Hollywood Studios right now, so Midway Mania should definitely be on everyone's must do list!

Number 2: Flight of Passage

The newest ride and arguably the most emotional ride, Flight of Passage could very easily be my number 1. The first time I rode this, I teared up not because it was scary, but because of how stunningly beautiful it was. I couldn't get over the smells, visuals, and even feelings in the ride! And Imagineering did a phenomenal job with the queue, giving it the capacity to hold lots of people but also making it entertaining and giving the guests breathtaking views of the land from the line. And I haven't even talked about the lab part of the queue, easily the best section of any line in any park! Brave the wait times and ride this ride, you will not regret it!

Number 1: Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

My number one is a classic. Tower of Terror seems like your classic drop ride, until you ride it again and get a completely different sequence! It seems like the more you ride it, the more sequences there are! For me, this is the best ride on property. It's the only ride that I genuinely scream on and can find thrilling every time I ride. There's really not enough I can say about the ride, it's so much fun! The queue and pre show is really frightening, and makes you feel like you're actually there. All in all, Tower of Terror is a must do for me and my number one ride at Walt Disney World!
