Solo: A Star Wars Story Review

Image
This was posted, by me, on  http://tmkbpodcast.blogspot.com/2018/05/solo-star-wars-story-review.html, where you can find other articles written by myself.  imdb.com "I'm gonna be a pilot...the best in the galaxy." This past Thursday I was able to see  Solo: A Star Wars Story  and I've got to say that I was very pleasantly surprised. As the residential movie reviewer here at The Mouse Knows Best, it's my job and duty to see these movies and let you, the reader, and the other crew members know whether it's actually worth your time; thankfully, this one very much so is.  Solo  had, without a shadow of a doubt, the most controversial production of any  Star Wars  movie ever. The film was originally directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller; however, Ron Howard took over about halfway through production, which, as you could imagine, could completely change the entire script. Luckily it didn't. Then, there were the rumors surrounding Alden Ehrenreich get

Thanos has come

Wow is all I can really say. For the past 10 years, Marvel has been making these movies that would culminate in a historic event. Now, am I saying that when I first watched Iron Man  as a 12 year old that I expected to see an Infinity War like movie? No way, and I don't think anyone can say they did expect to see something like this, aside from maybe Kevin Feige and Stan Lee. Essentially, what has happened is Joe and Anthony Russo have taken the best of all of the movies in the MCU and combined it into one, then took a HUGE risk. But with a movie like this, don't you have to take a risks? Aren't they necessaary to keep the audience wanting more, and expecting the unexpected. Which, if we're being honest, Marvel has failed to do in the past. There's a super hero, then there's a villain, the villain gets something super powerful and it seems all hope is lost, then the hero musters up all strength, comes close to death, and defeats the villain. That storyline can c

Friday Five: Top 5 Teams I Think Can Win the NCAA Tournament

Image
Hello again and welcome to the newest installment of the Friday Five! Last week I said that I would be covering the top 5 things to do in Knoxville this week, but I forgot that March Madness begins this week so I'm changing it up. Now, I will let you know that I'm writing this on Thursday, the day the tournament begins so barring any catastrophic upsets (which are pretty much guaranteed), these teams should still be in the tourney come Friday. Anyway, this week I'm going to reveal my top 5 teams I think can win the whole tournament. hollywoodlife.com Really, you can't predict what will happen in the tourney; however, everyone has a couple of teams they think will go far and hopefully mine do! So let's get into it! Number 5: Kansas Jayhawks: Number 1 seed in the Midwest (27-7) kuathletics.com I know what you're thinking. This is going to be a list of 1 seeds and one 2 seed; NOPE. But I will say that I like Kansas to go pretty far. They played, and w

Post Black Panther Predictions For Avengers: Infinity War

Image
Alrighty y'all, we're exactly 47 days away from Infinity War at the time of writing this and Black Panther has been out for less than a week and is already shattering numbers, meaning that the superhero community is stronger than ever! That being said, arguably the biggest superhero movie is coming this May and I, for one, can not wait!! Now, Marvel has been extremely mum on Infinity War and what is to come, but you can easily find theories, speculations, and even "leaks" (but let's be real, they aren't real leaks.) But I have some theories and predictions on what's going to happen in the blockbuster movie of the year that I'm going to share with you today. Okay so for anyone who hasn't seen all the MCU movies and doesn't like spoilers, I'd stop reading now. THIS IS YOUR WARNING, SPOILERS AHEAD, TURN BACK NOW. Now, for anyone who hasn't seen Black Panther and think it'll lead up to Infinity War the way Ragnarok did (ie: me)

Friday Five: Top 5 Shows at Walt Disney World

Image
Hello and welcome back to the Friday Five, where I pick a topic and rank things from 5 to 1! Last week, I talked about my top 5 rides at Walt Disney World, and going along with the theme, this week I'm going to talk about my top shows at Walt Disney World. Before I get into the rankings, I think it makes sense to clarify what exactly classifies as a show at the parks. For me, a show at WDW has to have one of the following elements: fireworks, music, people acting, and it has to be entertaining, duh. Now, that leaves tons of options from Happily Ever After to Johnny Maserati dancing at Disney Springs, they're all qualified to make the list. With that said, there can only be 5 and we're not taking any shortcuts by giving Honorable Mentions. So without adieu, these are my top 5 shows at WDW: Number 5: Mickey's Royal Friendship Faire This was by far the hardest choice of the list. I was torn between Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, Rivers of Light, Star War

Friday Five: Top 5 Walt Disney World Rides

Image
Welcome back to the Friday Five! This week on the blog, I get to rank my top 5 Walt Disney World Rides. Now, it's well known that I love WDW and love ranking things so I'm beyond excited to rank some of my favorite stuff to do at the parks. From dark rides to water rides, game rides to thrills, Disney World has it all; and it's all top of the line! WDW is full of great rides and its time to pick my 5 favorite! Now, I won't be doing any honorable mentions because if I did any, I'd probably list 10 of them! So here we go! Number 5: Haunted Mansion A ride so great it inspired a movie. Well, that could be said about numbers 4 and 5, but I put Haunted Mansion at number 5 because it's really such a great ride. With classics like Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain it's odd that my 2 Magic Kingdom rides are dark rides; but that shows that maybe a Disney ride can be great, and not be totally thrilling. There's so much to love about Ha

Friday Five: Top 5 Disney Animated Films

Image
Welcome to the Friday Five! I love making lists, whether they're good or bad and, shockingly, most of my lists pertain to Disney related things. However, there are going to be some other rankings added that don't pertain to Disney. Disney movies are where it all began, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs to Moana, it feels like every year there's a new Disney film and every year that film is amazing...it also doesn't hurt that Disney owns Marvel and Lucasfilm. Either way, we can all agree Disney has put out some great films, and we all have our favorites. But for this list, it's going to be my favorite Disney animated films. For this specific list, I'm sticking with only films made by Disney Animated Studios, not Pixar. Now, comment below and tell me yours and tell me what I missed or what you don't agree with! As with most lists, there's going to be some honorable mentions because it's extraordinarily hard for anyone, especially someone who love
